A six-foot garment is called a saree.  It is typically paired with a choli or blouse.  Because of the beauty they bestow upon women, sarees have won over millions of hearts worldwide.  This six-foot robe that is slung around the body has a profoundly captivating effect on even Western women.  People all across the world believe that Indian women's attractiveness is accentuated by their sarees. 

Variety in Saree Types

Women from various countries and traditions wear a variety of sarees, from Kashmir to Kerala.  Designs, fabrics, textures, and draping styles vary throughout sarees.  We observe that women in every state wear sarees in a variety of ways.  The way they wear sarees is a good way to understand about their culture.  States like Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and others in India offer a wide selection of sarees with distinctive styles.

Banarasi Saree Types

The following are a handful of the various varieties of Banarasi sarees.

Sarees by Georgette Banarasi:

Georgette is a light fabric with a simple weave that is neatly woven. Georgette is an environmentally friendly fabric.  Crepe yarn is used to make the fabric used to make georgette.

Banarasi Butidar Sarees:

The sarees of Butidar are intricately woven.  The silk, silver, and gold threads are included.  Gold threads are darker than silver threads.  This kind of brocade patterning is hence known as Ganga-Jamuna by the Banaras saree weavers.

Banarasi Tanchoi Sarees

For wedding ceremonies, the Tanchoi saree is very popular.  Large paisley motifs are typically used to adorn Tanchoi Banarasi saree Pallu.  The border has a pretty crisscross design and is straightforward.

A few varieties of Banarasi sarees are as follows.  Jangla Banarasi Saree, Tissue Saree, Cutwork Banarasi Saree, and others are among them.

Saree Types Made of Silk

India offers a wide variety of silk sarees.  Among them are:

Assam Silk Saree: Assam is the place where this silk is made.  This fabric, which goes by the name Muga silk, is incredibly resilient.  The traditional Assamese garments are made from muga silk.

Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, is the manufacturing location for the Kanjeevaram Silk Saree.  Of all the silk sarees, the Kanjeevaram saree is regarded as the most affluent and royal.

Mysore, Karnataka, is where Mysore Silk Sarees are made.  Mulberry silk is used to make them.  Among the most popular silk sarees for Indian weddings are these ones.

Bomkai Silk Sari, Patola Silk Saree, Konrad Silk Saree, Baluchari Silk Saree, and various silk sarees are a few more.
